Product Applications for Eiffel's Technologies

Eiffel’s flexibility in being able to utilise the unique properties of dense gases in various pharmaceutical processes enables drugs to be produced with physical properties designed to meet the target product performance requirements.

The capability to change the physical form of drugs opens the way for improved dose forms to be developed with the objective of achieving better clinical performance and/or improved patient ease of use. Eiffel has the capability to apply its technologies in the following ways:

  • Production of inhalable forms of drugs that are currently administered via injection

  • Utilising superior control over particle size and morphology to develop more effective products for inhalation compared to those already marketed. • Production of alternative physical forms of drugs to enable transdermal delivery.

  • Production of particulate forms of vaccines to improve immune response.

  • Controlling drug morphology to achieve the desired dissolution rate characteristics for optimal clinical effectiveness.

  • Controlling particle morphology, or creating intimate mixtures with excipients to achieve improved stability that may eliminate the requirement for refrigeration and/or increase shelf life.

  • Producing combination therapies of intimately mixed compounds in one step, as opposed to post production mixing.
